Moog synths use an out-of-date gate interface. While every other manufacturer has standardized on a +5 V gate signal (a V-Trig), Moog synths use the confusing 'short to ground' gate (an S-Trig).
If you've ever tried interfacing your Moog directly to any other gear, using CV and gate cables, you've probably had some strange issues.
